General Assembly of the Party of the European Left
From 28-30 September 2018, the party of the European Left meets in Brussels to make its first decisions in preparation for the 2019 European elections. Central topics are the electoral program of the European Left as well as the exchange about a possible lead candidate / `Spitzenkandidat`.
The President of the European Left Party, Gregor Gysi:
"We as the European Left face a crucial phase in the preparation of the European elections in 2019. These elections take place at a critical time, with left forces as the only alternative to the conservative-neoliberal center block and a real alternative to the far right. "
The party of the European left has agreed to a process in preparation for the election program in order to ensure broad participation of the member parties of the European Left.
Friday, 28 September: 2:30-8pm Council of Chairpersons
Saturday, 29 September: 10am-7pm Executive Board
Sunday, 30 September: 9am-2pm General Assembly
The General Assembly is composed of the members of the Executive Board and the members of the Council of Chairpersons.

Generalversammlung der Europäische Linken
Vom 28.-30. September 2018 trifft sich die Partei der Europäischen Linken in Brüssel um erste Entscheidungen in Vorbeitung der Europawahl 2019 zu treffen. Zentrale Themen sind dabei das Wahlprogramm der Europäischen Linken sowie der Austausch über einen möglichen Spitzenkandidaten/-in.
Der Präsident der Partei der Europäischen Linken, Gregor Gysi:
„Wir als Europäische Linke stehen vor einer entscheidenen Phase in der Vorbereitung der Europawahl 2019. Diese Wahlen finden in einer kritischen Zeit statt, wobei die Kräfte der Linken als einzige Alternative zum konservativ-neoliberalen Block der Mitte und als wirkliche Alternative zur extremen Rechten anzusehen sind.“
Die Partei der europäischen Linken hat sich dabei auf einen Prozess in Vorbereitung des Wahlprogramms verständigt, um eine breite Beteiligung der Mitgliedsparteien der Europäischen Linken zu gewährleisten.

Die Generalversammlung setzt sich aus den Mitgliedern des Vorstands und den Mitglieder des Rats der Vorsitzenden zusammen.
